Amidst the summer lull, we stayed active at F2, leading two new rounds in companies leveraging AI in cyber.

With the widespread adoption of generative AI gaining momentum, 71% of F2 portfolio companies are already incorporating generative AI into their workflows to boost automation, power new features, and enhance margins. While the benefits are clear, there are serious cybersecurity risks on the flipside. From data breaches to deep fakes, generative AI amplifies the attack surface and potential damage of hackers, and we see a new wave of cyber security startups emerge to tackle these challenges.

As Nvidia smashes earnings estimates and OpenAI is on pace to generate more than $1 billion in revenue over the next 12 months, fueling the generative AI boom, thousands of new AI startups are launching daily. At F2, our primary focus remains on founders equipped with subject matter expertise and proprietary data, leveraging this technology to execute better, faster, and cheaper for a real competitive advantage.
