Why we invested in Brava

Rules deployed. Logs flowing. Alerts quiet.
But that quiet often means the attack was never seen.
Enterprises now run on sprawling cloud services, AI applications and AI-assisted development tools, and security telemetry grows with every one of them. Somewhere in that sprawl, critical logs are never collected, pipelines break without a sound, and detection rules miss the exact attacks they were written to catch. Most security teams have no way to prove otherwise. They take their detection on faith.
That problem is about to get much bigger. The cyber industry is racing to hand the SOC to AI agents, and those agents can only reason over the evidence they’re given. An agent can investigate an alert in seconds. It cannot investigate an attack its systems never detected.
Brava builds the ground truth the SOC runs on. Its multi-agent AI generates the exact telemetry an attack would produce in a specific environment, across every log source, without ever running the attack. It proves what a company’s defenses would catch, rewrites the SIEM detections and data feeds that are blind to it, and investigates alongside the security team. First insights land within 10–15 minutes of onboarding. It runs on the stack customers already own: Splunk, Google SecOps, CrowdStrike and more than 70 other sources and destinations.
Idan Basre and Itay Gabbay are the team to build it. Idan is a Talpiot alumnus who spent ten years as a threat researcher in Unit 8200. He then led product management for Microsoft Defender, where he saw firsthand how teams couldn’t investigate what their data never showed them. Itay spent seven years building core AI systems in the IDF, including work on a joint DARPA-Israeli research program. Brava’s team brings together security researchers and AI researchers, which is exactly the mix this problem needs.
The market is already pulling. Brava comes out of stealth with multiple Fortune 100 customers across retail, energy and hospitality, alongside Cushman & Wakefield and WELL Health.
As AI takes over more of security operations, the winners will be the companies that make its decisions trustworthy. Brava is building that foundation, and we’re proud to co-lead its $15M seed round alongside Pitango.
