We are delighted to share that both Tal Zackon and Maor Fridman have been promoted to Principals at F2 Venture Capital. Tal and Maor each have unique backgrounds that have catapulted F2 to become the most active fund in Israel, providing founders with invaluable support.

After serving as a Captain in the Israeli Special Forces, Tal went on to earn his BA from IDC and the University of Southern California. Tal, who was recognized as one of the 30Under30 by Forbes for his work leading The Junction platform, is also on the board of Combat Ventures, a non-profit organization assisting the integration of IDF combat veterans into the Israeli startup ecosystem post service.

Tal’s extensive background in the military, startup experience, as well as his broad network have made him a tremendous asset to F2 where he focuses on deal sourcing, diligence and company growth.

“Tal is a great friend, partner, investor, recruiter, and team member — a one stop human shop"

commented Dekel Veltzer, co-founder and CEO of F2 portfolio company Avo. “He has helped us tremendously with everything, from hiring our first employee for our warehouse operations in Israel on day one to connecting us with top tier investors in the US at a later stage. Tal even helped us physically picking, packing and delivering orders at some point.”

As an artificial intelligence software engineer, Maor has an incredibly deep understanding of technology that he channels for deal sourcing, diligence and value creation. Added to the mix, Maor brings sharp commercial perspective to advise founders as they plan their go-to-market and business model.

Prior to F2, Maor served for over five years as a software engineer in Intel and Amazon Web Services (AWS) developing core products in computer and network engineering.

He completed his BSc in electrical engineering from Tel Aviv University and MBA at Wharton Business School.

“Maor is one of the most brilliant guys that I know,” adds Ofir Tahor, co-founder and CEO of F2 portfolio company AcroCharge. “He feels like another co-founder for us. From helping us find top talent to focusing our product, and so much more. I consider Maor an integral part of our team; someone who has assisted in building our company’s foundation from the ground up.”

We are very excited to see both Maor and Tal take this next step on their career path as they broaden their contribution to the Israeli technology ecosystem and their personal impact on the journey of our founders.
